Riding in Zhuhai was a nice experience. Especially just after upgrading my bike. Even though there's no too much differences between 7 speed and 8 speed gear, it was feeling good. New chain and new wheels were running smoothly. The breaks could stop the bike in every urgent situation. No mention the convenient road specially built for bike and fresh air by the seaside.

On right time, at right place, with right partner - my bike, I took the 62km trip across Zhuhai city. Specially thanks to Leon, brought me and my bike to Zhuhai with his GOLF, and offered me 2 nights' accommodation.

After reading Charlotte's masterpiece, I remember I have taken a similar photo. It was taken on Sep 11th, 2004, on the top of Victoria Peak, by my Sony T1, a camera for dommies. It does not have the anti-shock function, so it's hard to take a clear photo in dark circumstance. That's why I'm pround of this photo: I tried my best to make it clear.

There's something special in the photo. Can you find it?

BTW, I love Hong Kong very much, not only because of this really great night view, but also the clean streets, good-mannered people, delicious food... a lot of good memories.

This is the creek that blocked the way. I climbed up to the hill along the creek from the root far away to find a way to get across it. But the water stream was so rapid that it was impossible to do that with normal equipment. So I took this photo at the very top I can reach.

It's always pleasant to be there to feel the fresh air, shiny stars. That's what the Everest could give you.

On Aug 22nd, I was so close to it, the famous Everest. I had never been so near to it. It was one of my dreams when I was a child: Meet the tallest mountain of the world, the Everest. When it became true, it gave me much more than excitement.

I took the photo on the top of a small hill 5 km far from the camp. No body could get any closer if he does not have a licence of climbing the mountain. Had been with a good luck, there were no too much cloud that day and I got a clear shot.

Talking about the cloud, I and my friends were suffered from it the day before. We went out of the camp at about 7:30pm. Cause we got there too late on that day and we still wanted to see great view in the first place. It was raining. Till now I don't know why we three agreed and insisted on heanding to the mountain. We started tracking any way. God did not show any mercy, the rain even got heavier. We just believed we could see it, the top of the Everest. So we walked on and on. After passing a military sentry (later we knew it's the No.1 base camp), we were blocked by a brook. It was 9:30pm already and seemed that we can not go any further. God opened his eyes finally, shown us the top of the Everest. Though it was not as beautiful as the one above, it was the reward for our unremitting.

The day Aug 4th, I was on the way to the office. My mobile phone rang. It was Lulu, called from Shenzhen.

"Do you have time these days?...."
"Yes, not too busy. I just quit the job, you know, nothing much to do."
"How about going to Tibet?"
"When?"
"The day after tomorrow, I've booked the ticket from Guangzhou to Lhasa"
"...So soon... Let me think about it..."

The call was in a sudden, I didn't have too much time to think over. In the afternoon, Lulu just called again.

"What do you say?"
"Ok. I'll be there." I've been longing for Tibet. I just did not know the travelling day was coming so fast, beyond my preparation.

Anyway, I could not miss the chance. It was in perfect time, at perfect place, with perfect people. I got everything packed and booked the flight to GZ in 5th's morning and the same filght with Lulu from GZ to Lhasa in 6th's morning. All the luck was coming one by one. I got a very good discount for both the flights. God let me go.

It's cloudy these days, sometimes it rains. The weather is so cool, very comfortable. It's 5:40am here. Sitting on the roof of the hotel, I can hear various of sounds of Kathmandu morning.

In the very beginning, it was the singing of birds. Chinese says, the birds who get up early get worms to eat. That could be the reason:). Then it's the bark of the dogs. There are so many dogs in the city. Most of them have home, some don't, which are wondering and searching for food all over the city. Generally they are not aggressive.

The horn and sound of engines of the vehicles started. In Kathmandu, there are uncountable motorbikes, just like bikes for Chinese in 90s even till now. The cars are mostly very old, covered with dust and mud. Either motorbikes or cars like to horn for time to time, for it's too crowded in the city. Nepalis, normally so unhurried, become impatient mantics behind the wheels. It recalls me the memory of drivers in Shanghai who like to horn a lot too, but can not be compared with here.

There is a school next to the hotel. Students come to school at 9:00am Nepal time. It will be much noiser after that. Enjoying the peaceful moment is one of the must-do in the early morning.
